What to expect

The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most symbolic monuments of Paris and of France as a whole, and is visited by millions of tourists every year.
Accompanied by your tour guide, come and lose yourself in the fascinating history of Napoleonic conquests and enjoy the breathtaking view of Paris and its surroundings from one of the largest arches in the world, standing at 55 metres tall. Ideally located on the Place de l’Etoile, which itself is the intersection between no less than twelve Parisian streets, the Arc de Triomphe is full of historical significance.

Since the liberation of Paris in 1944, Winston Churchill, J.F Kennedy and almost all the influential figures of the modern world have come to pay their respects to the monument. Along with the Champs-Elysées, the Arc represents the joining of the old Paris and the Paris of today, being equidistant to the Louvre and La Défence, the city’s financial district.
Designed by Napoleon, it was completed in 1833 under the reign of King Louis Philippe.
