There's something new in Parisian cultural life! After months of work, the Atelier des Lumières opened its doors on 13 April 2018 in the former iron foundry of the Pichon family. The capital's first digital art centre, this new museum in the 11th arrondissement has a unique mission: to offer visitors totally immersive exhibitions. The works projected on the walls and accompanied by music will allow to discover in a grandiose way the subtleties of the works of the greatest artists.
Between technological prowess and revisited art history, the Atelier des Lumières is designed to arouse wonder, build bridges between eras, sublimate works of art using modern technologies. Its concept is inspired in particular by the Carrières des Lumières in Baux-de-Provence.
The first exhibition, Klimt and Vienna, will put more than 3,000 images in motion. With 120 video projectors and 50 directivity controlled speakers, the experience is sure to leave lasting memories for visitors.
