What to expect

Discover the "Félin" exhibition at the Grande Galerie de l'Evolution in Paris and immerse yourself in the extraordinary world of the feline family, an experience not to be missed! From March 22, 2023, to January 7, 2024, get ready to be amazed by these exceptional predators, admired or feared mammals, that inhabit our planet.

Do you think you know everything about felines? Prepare to be surprised by the fascinating characteristics of these animals. Thirty-eight species of felines coexist with us, far beyond the famous domestic cat and the big cats such as lion, tiger, or panther. Explore these lesser-known but equally captivating species, such as the fishing cat, the flat-headed cat, or the oncilla.

The "Félin" exhibition takes you into the heart of their world. Explore the exceptional qualities of these predators: their highly developed senses, powerful jaws and claws, their speed and agility. You will discover their hunting methods, their prey, and the delicate balance that exists between them and their environment.

But that's not all! The "Félin" exhibition has been designed with accessibility in mind so that all visitors can fully enjoy it. With around twenty specially designed devices, this exhibition is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

You will be able to discover 15 tactile and auditory stations highlighting selected examples from the exhibition. Through contrasting colored illustrations covered with transparent tactile relief resin, you will be able to touch and feel the presence of the felines. The texts are in simplified French, with large contrasting characters and braille, making reading easier for everyone.

For an even more immersive experience, you can plug your phone headset into the dedicated sockets and explore the content of the stations through audio. Some interactive and playful devices have also been adapted with tactile relief resin and braille, offering a multisensory approach for visually impaired visitors. Additionally, French Sign Language translation accompanies one of the exhibition's audiovisuals.

Whether you are young or old, let yourself be captivated by this universal approach and dive into the fascinating world of felines. Visit the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution, located at 36 rue Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire in Paris, from March 22, 2023, to January 7, 2024.
