What to expect

Welcome to the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie (the museum of science and industry in Paris), one of the largest popularisations of science museums worldwide. Built in a palace of steel, concrete and glass in the middle of the Parc de la Villette, the museum is 250 metres long, 150 metres wide and 50 metres high. A visit here promises an inspiring day out for all with more than 3 million visitors flocking to it each year. The Cité des sciences et de l'industrie has both permanent and temporary exhibitions on offer, as well as hands-on activities for children, an aquarium, a planetarium and a submarine making for a great day out for all.

Opening time

Open from Tuesday to Sunday:

  • Permanent and temporary exhibitions: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (7 p.m. on Sundays)
  • Argonaute: 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (until 6.30 p.m. on Sunday)
  • Planetarium: sessions of 35 to 40 minutes from 12 p.m.

The Cité des Sciences is closed every Monday, January 1, May 1 and December 25.

With a permanent and temporary exhibition ticket, the planetarium sessions are free to access. It is necessary to withdraw a countermark at the reception or at the vending machines in the museum to choose your session.

Prices

  • Full price (from 26 years old): 12€
  • Reduced rate (under 25, "large family" card, 65 and over, education pass from the Ministry of National Education, student cards, librarians, school directors, civic service): €9

Freebies for:

  • Less than 2 years old
  • On presentation of the disability card, a valid AAH allowance certificate (+ identity document), or the "war pensioner" disability card. In all 3 cases, free admission extends to the guide.
  • Exempt social field: Pôle emploi proof or RSA certificate dated less than 6 months + identity document.

Many exhibitions are accessible throughout the year at the Cité des Sciences. You visit spaces on the major themes of science and technology, in an interactive and fun way.

Fragile: 2 to 6 years old (subject to availability on the day of the visit)

Discover the little world of Windy the balloon, Iggy the egg, Folia the sheet of paper, Glitch the soap, and Plote the ball of yarn. Naughty and naive, they are brought back to reality by the arrival of Roky le pebble, who warns them: “Be careful, you are fragile, you risk hurting yourself! ". Fragile?

Séjour à la cité des sciences, porte de la villette. Le tarif de l'entrée reste abordable, concernant pour la restauration, c'est hors de prix et le parking également.

Réservation super facile et rapide !!!
Attention cependant au type de ticket...le ticket EXPLORA donne accès à tout sauf ….. à la cité des enfants !!! Ne pas hésiter à se renseigner à l'accueil pour réserver le planétarium et les autres visites particulières (contre marques comprises dans le prix du billet :) )

Nous y retournerons...pas le temps de tout faire en 3 heures ;)
