Beschreibung
Rosa Bonheur was a French artist renowned for her animal paintings. Currently, her works are being showcased at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris as part of an exceptional temporary exhibition. This exhibition is a great opportunity to get a close look at her work and learn more about this artist whose bicentennial we are celebrating. Rosa Bonheur dedicated a significant amount of time studying animals in their natural habitat. She painted horses, oxen, sheep, and even lions. Her paintings are remarkable for their realism and vibrancy. Rosa Bonheur was also a trailblazer in the use of color, notably employing an intense blue hue in some of her works, which was uncommon during her time. Having led a fascinating and experientially rich life, she was a strong and independent woman who carved a place for herself in a male-dominated field. The Musée d'Orsay's temporary exhibition pays tribute to this exceptional artist, offering an opportunity to discover or rediscover her body of work.
This exhibition is done in partnership with Le Château Musée Rosa Bonheur in Thomery (Seine-et-Marne), where Rosa Bonheur lived for nearly fifty years, and the Departmental Museum of the Painters of Barbizon.
The exhibited works are from the collections of Château Rosa Bonheur, those of the Musée d'Orsay, and exceptional loans from major national and international institutions.
The exhibition will take place from October 18, 2022, to January 15, 2023.

Expo très bien sur une femme avant-gardiste .
Billet qui m à permis d éviter toutes les queues à l entrée.
D’une très grande simplicité pour la réservation et l’avantage de ne pas avoir un créneau horaire pour la visite.
A recommander.
