From October 8, 2025 to January 19, 2026, the Bourse de Commerce in Paris opens its doors to a rare immersion into the world of minimalist art. Far from traditional exhibitions saturated with color, narrative, or figurative elements, Minimal invites you to return to the essentials. A hundred meticulously selected works await you in a journey where every gesture, every material, every silence takes on new depth.
Curated by Jessica Morgan, Director of the Dia Art Foundation (New York), this exhibition stands out as one of the major cultural events of the season. It brings together more than 40 international artists, key figures of the minimalist movement or contemporary explorers of this aesthetic. From Dan Flavin to Agnès Martin, including On Kawara, Lee Ufan, and Donald Judd, the works interact with the architectural spaces of the Bourse de Commerce in a striking harmony of sobriety and visual power.
Minimalism, often misunderstood, is not simply about “less”: it seeks to say more with less. It’s not a reduction, but a different kind of intensity — a visual spirituality that encourages you to slow down, observe, and feel. Each work presented here transforms your relationship to space, to time, and to your own perception.
Far from the spectacular, Minimal offers an introspective, almost meditative experience. You will be invited to move slowly, to listen to the silence of forms, to feel the light as a material in itself. It is a personal encounter, far from the crowd and the urban frenzy, in the heart of Paris. An aesthetic bubble that soothes as much as it provokes reflection.
Located in the heart of the capital, just steps from Les Halles, the Louvre and the Seine, the Bourse de Commerce is much more than just a museum. Originally an 18th-century grain hall, it has been transformed over the centuries before becoming, in 2021, the new home of the Pinault Collection, one of the world’s most prestigious private contemporary art collections.
Japanese architect Tadao Ando redesigned the building’s volumes to incorporate a monumental raw concrete cylinder, in constant dialogue with the historic dome and original frescoes. This contrast between heritage and modernity turns the visit into a true architectural experience. The Minimal exhibition fits seamlessly into this setting, enhancing the sense of timelessness and purity.
Minimal doesn’t just showcase iconic names in art history: it also highlights lesser-known artists such as Charlotte Posenenske, Rasheed Araeen, and Lygia Pape, broadening the scope of minimalism to include practices from Japan, Brazil, and the Arab world. What’s offered here is a more inclusive, expanded vision of the movement — far removed from the cold image sometimes associated with this kind of art.
Booking your ticket means securing a rare moment — a rediscovery of the power of empty space, a reconnection to an intimate sensitivity too often eclipsed by daily chaos. It is also a way to support a venue that has chosen boldness and depth over convenience.
The exhibition is held at the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection, 2 rue de Viarmes, 75001 Paris.
The Minimal exhibition is expected to draw a large audience — contemporary art lovers as well as curious visitors seeking new sensory experiences. Its immersive format, rare works, and exceptional venue make it particularly popular.
By booking your ticket in advance, you avoid queues and ensure a time slot that suits your schedule. Some slots (especially weekends, late nights, or free admission days) are often fully booked several days ahead.
More than just an artistic event, Minimal is an invitation to slow down, to see differently, and to feel deeply. In a world saturated with images and noise, this exhibition offers a rare visual breath of fresh air.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to discover art in its purest form. Book your ticket now and let yourself be moved by the beauty of the minimum.
