What to expect

Book your ticket for the temporary exhibitions at the Zadkine Museum in Paris. Museums housed in former artist studios always have a special charm, and the Zadkine Museum is certainly one of the finest examples. Nestled between the Luxembourg Gardens and Montparnasse, this museum showcases hundreds of works by the Russian-born artist. In the studio where he worked for nearly forty years, from 1928 until his death in 1967, some of his most beautiful sculptures are now on display. Zadkine had a unique ability to master materials like no other, as evidenced by his sublime statues crafted from various woods, bronze, or even cement. The visit continues in the museum's garden, a true haven of peace dedicated to the arts. Like all museums in the City of Paris, the Zadkine Museum is free to visit. However, to admire its temporary exhibitions, you will need to purchase a ticket.

Zadkine Museum Hours

Current Exhibition at the Zadkine Museum

Ossip Zadkine - The Instinct of Matter - from September 28th, 2018 to February 10th, 2019

For Zadkine, materials are rich in dynamics. They become "formal powers". The exhibition revisits this intimate link, this organic dialogue between the artist and primordial matter.
