Discover the other sightseeing cruises in Paris
At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, Bateaux Parisiens offer a cruise commented in fourteen languages, often the first gateway to discovering the Seine. But Paris is full of other equally memorable river experiences: for a more local approach in the historic heart of the capital, the small fleet moored at the Square du Vert-Galant offers boarding directly on the Île de la Cité. Visitors staying in the Trocadéro area may prefer the river crossing by Vedettes de Paris, with its warm atmosphere and human-sized boats, or opt for a river outing specially designed for children to experience Paris at their level. For a dive into the history of Parisian cruises, nothing beats the aura of the iconic company founded in 1949 and its pier at the Pont de l'Alma. If your sightseeing programme includes several sites along the Seine, the unlimited day pass with nine stops turns the river into a practical way to travel between the major monuments. Finally, to escape the traditional route, head for the canals: the sightseeing cruise along the Canal Saint-Martin between Orsay and La Villette or the heritage crossing by Canauxrama and its successive locks reveal an unexpected Paris, punctuated by swing bridges and underground passages.
