Showcasing the finest lesser-known archives, the Paris Liberation Museum - General Leclerc Museum - Jean Moulin Museum highlights pivotal events in French history. The establishment of this collection responds to the Parisians' desire to uncover ancient narratives that resonate with them. As a war veterans' museum, the Liberation Museum pays tribute to Jean Moulin and Philippe Leclerc de Hauteclocque. Drawing from diverse cultural legacies, this museum unveils stories depicted through archival images, drawings, and period films.Exhibition: Parisians in the 1940 Exodus
From February 27th to August 30th, 2020, explore the exhibition "Parisians in the 1940 Exodus" to experience the journey of Parisian refugees. During this tragic period in Europe, 8 million people left their homes to escape the German armies. From Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Museum of the Liberation invites you to fascinating discoveries during your visit. Please note that admission remains free for the permanent collection, unlike the temporary exhibitions which require payment.
