Common questions

Why choose Bateaux Parisiens for a lunch cruise on the Seine

The restaurant boats of this company are the most modern and the most extensively glazed boats on the Seine. People come and come back for the quality of the dishes, the impeccable customer service, the boarding at Port de la Bourdonnais at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and the beauty of the panoramic views over the most beautiful monuments of Paris.

What time does the Bateaux Parisiens lunch cruise depart?

Check-in takes place at pontoon no. 5 or no. 7 (fifty metres between the two pontoons) until 12:30 p.m. at the latest. The barge departs every day of the week at 12:45 p.m. for approximately two hours. The return to the quay is therefore scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Please note that, just like planes in the sky, boats on the Seine operate on very strict schedules and will not be able to wait for latecomers.

What is the price of a lunch cruise aboard Bateaux Parisiens?

Bateaux Parisiens offers three services: the Etoile service at €75, the Privilège service at €95 and the Premier service at €115. Regardless of the service chosen, children benefit from a reduced price of €34.

Should you book the Bateaux Parisiens lunch cruise?

Coming without a reservation at noon is always possible, but it is very risky because the lunch cruises of the most famous restaurant boat company on the Seine are often fully booked. It is therefore advisable to book as far in advance as possible in order to guarantee your table.

What are the differences between the dining services?

The differences between the Etoile, Privilège and Premier services are mainly in the quality of the wines and in the location on board the boat, respectively in the centre, along the bay window or at the bow. Good to know: the Premier package gives access to the VIP area at the bow of the boat, at round tables, but this does not necessarily mean that you will be seated directly next to a window! But do not let this deter you from choosing excellence: the bow of the Bateaux Parisiens is fully glazed from floor to ceiling, making passing under the bridges all the more magical.

Do you have to choose a menu when booking the lunch cruise?

You do not have to choose the menu in advance when booking your lunch (except for groups of more than 14 people). You will choose your starter, main course and dessert once seated at your table. Good to know: in addition to French, the menu available on board is translated into 9 foreign languages, namely English, Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Chinese and Portuguese.

Is there a vegetarian menu for the lunch cruise?

Real dishes have been specially designed for vegetarians, who will not have to settle for side dishes. For more specific diets (gluten-free, lactose-free, diabetic…), it will be necessary to notify the kitchens in advance and therefore indicate it when booking (at least 24 hours in advance).

Do children have a suitable menu?

Children eat like adults but in appropriate portions. The menus change approximately every 6 months in order to feature fresh and seasonal products. It is possible to have a baby bottle warmed up on board all the boats.

Are there alcohol-free lunch packages?

It is entirely possible to request that the aperitifs and wines included in the services be replaced with non-alcoholic beverages. The price of the lunch cruise will remain the same.

Where is the Bateaux Parisiens boarding point?

The boarding point for a lunch cruise aboard Bateaux Parisiens is located on the Right Bank, Port de la Bourdonnais in the seventh arrondissement of Paris, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and the Pont d'Iéna.

Are the boats wheelchair accessible?

All the boats of the Bateaux Parisiens company are wheelchair accessible. The possibility of reaching the boarding point by car or taxi even makes it a wise choice for people with reduced mobility (PRM). Please note, however, that access to the boat toilets is via stairs.

What is the difference between booking and giving a lunch cruise as a gift?

You book a lunch cruise for a specific date. By going to the "Give a Gift valid for 1 year" tab, you have the option of purchasing a lunch-cruise gift card for the person of your choice. The lucky recipient will then have 12 months to visit our website to book the date of their lunch aboard a Parisian boat.

How to book a lunch cruise for a group?

For groups of 10 people or more, up to the privatization of one or more boats, our event specialists are at your disposal to make your experience memorable by phone at 01 82 83 12 04 or by filling out our dedicated form.

What to do before or after a lunch cruise aboard the Bateaux-Parisiens?

Here are some tips and ideas to make your lunch cruise on the Seine part of an unforgettable experience in Paris. The Bateaux-Parisiens are located under the Eiffel Tower, which itself is right next to the Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac. Across the river, on the other side of the Seine, the Palais de Chaillot houses the Musée de l'Homme as well as the Cité de l'Architecture, both of which are well worth a visit. In the Trocadéro gardens is the Aquarium de Paris, which will perfectly complement a family lunch on the Seine.

Best birthday gift ever!
This was a wonderful experience to celebrate my sister's birthday! My mom and sisters were so delighted with our table selection- We chose the window seats with a view- and the selection of food and beverages offered throughout the ride. The boat was very clean and comfortable, and the check-in process was very smooth. I really appreciated the waiting area with seats so that my mother, who is limited mobility, could sit while we waited for departure. I would recommend this boat ride to everyone who is planning to visit Paris!

I would highly recommend this cruise. The food was excellent and you don’t walk away hungry. The wine was delicious. After seeing several other boats go past us I knew we made the right choice. It was spendy, but worth every penny. I had the beef, it was so tender, like butter. My husband had the chicken and said it was great.
