What to expect
In the heart of Loire-et-Cher and among the most famous French castles, the ZooParc de Beauval offers the opportunity to discover 600 species of animals, some of which are very rare in Europe. The number one zoo in France for this diversity of animals, and a unique zoo in France for its giant pandas. With its 30,000 hectares of landscapes recreating the natural habitat of the animals, the wildlife park is an unforgettable visit for both young and old. New Attraction
"The Beauval Cloud"
Have you always dreamed of flying over animals and being able to contemplate them from above? The Beauval Zoo is proud to present its "Cloud," a cable car located more than 35 meters above the ground, connecting two strategic points (the elephant area with the lion area, which are diametrically opposed). This Cloud transports you from Africa to Asia in silence, as it is 100% electric, respecting nature and the animals. For the curious ones, cabins with glass floors are also available so you don't miss any part of the spectacle.
Don't miss:
- Land of the Lions, a 5,300 m² space dedicated to African lions.
- Junior Keepers, a new activity for children aged 6-10 that allows them to participate in preparing snacks for the park's smaller monkeys, the tamarins.
- Beauval Behind the Scenes, a guided tour of the park that allows you to discover the backstage: an immersion in the places, history, and anecdotes of the zoo regarding the missions of a modern zoological park and the profession of animal caretaker.
In 2018, cheetahs and Arctic wolves made their appearance at the Beauval Zoo.
Beauval, as few people can see it: an opportunity not to be missed!
Origins of Beauval Zoo
Thanks to the passion of a woman who decided to dedicate her life to animals and their conservation, the ornithological park created in 1980 in Beauval has become over the years one of the 10 most beautiful zoological parks in the world, where over 10,000 animals evolve in green plains, tropical greenhouses, panoramic pools, and islands designed to make them feel at home. Among the predators, primates, herbivores, birds, reptiles, fish, and aquatic mammals that unveil their singular and powerful beauty here, some species rarely seen in Europe are the stars of the park: white tigers, koalas, okapis, giant pandas, tree kangaroos, manatees, and even hippos, living in a unique underwater vision installation since 2016.
