Versailles wasn't built in a day! In fact, the palace was constructed over a period of 50 years by the Sun King, Louis XIV. Following his lead, his successors also wanted to leave their mark, adding extra features until the revolution intervened. Today, Versailles is a wonderful memorial to three centuries of French royal history.

Sainte Chapelle
What to expect
At the edge of the Bois de Vincennes stands a magnificent Art Deco building inaugurated in 1931, the Palais de la Porte Dorée. This impressive structure is home to one of the most fascinating institutions in the capital, the Museum of Immigration History. As the name suggests, it retraces the history of migratory movements in France and showcases the multiple roles played by people from elsewhere in the French economy and culture. The museum frequently hosts large-scale exhibitions, while its permanent collections consist of thousands of testimonies, articles, artworks, and historical objects. More than just the history of immigration, this unique place prompts us to ponder the concepts of otherness, fraternity, dialogue, and exchange. Book your ticket in advance with no additional fees to gain immediate access to this exceptional venue.Museum of Immigration Opening Hours
