What to expect

Located within the magnificent Palais de la Porte Dorée, the Tropical Aquarium is one of those magical places that arouse the curiosity of young and old alike. During your visit, you will be taken on a journey through time and space, through a mysterious and colourful world.
A sumptuous showcase of the world's marine biodiversity, the tropical aquarium in Paris today is home to nearly 15,000 fish, divided into 750 distinct species. In an educational concern, the course is specially thought to bring the answers to the questions that the children could ask themselves. Clear and precise information on the different species is thus made available to visitors. To make the visit more pleasant, the fish are also classified according to a thematic organization. Primitive or electric fish, freshwater or marine fish, herbivores or omnivores: the marine universe will have no more secrets for you!

The esplanade, the hall of honor, the Forum (formerly the ballroom), and the historic salons of the Palais de la Porte Dorée are freely accessible.
