Discovering the Architecture and Heritage City
The City, Witness to Architectural Heritage
The Architecture and Heritage City is one of the leading and oldest museums dedicated to architecture and monumental heritage. From its establishment in 1882 as a museum of Comparative Sculpture to its integration into the Architecture and Heritage City in 2004, it has become a vital contributor to the dissemination of architectural culture.
A Multifaceted Place for Education and Awareness
The City's mission is to impart knowledge, support architectural quality, safeguard our built heritage, and foster creativity and innovation. It provides a narrative of architectural history, from the medieval era to the present day, exploring how major structures were built and for whom. The museum caters to all audiences, from experts to novices, offering comprehensive or specific approaches to housing, public buildings, techniques, architectural players, and urban planning.
