What to expect

These three dizzying towers were medieval fortifications that protected the capital of Aunis against maritime invasions. Majestically erected facing the Atlantic Ocean, in addition to their defensive role, they served as an arsenal, dungeon, and landmarks. One of them, the Lantern Tower, houses the oldest and tallest lighthouse on the Atlantic. The Chain Tower, on the other hand, contained a powder magazine. Your skip-the-line tickets will immerse you in the memorable history of the "Ocean Gate", notably recounted in the museum housed within the Saint-Nicolas Tower. Its architecture has led to a both labyrinthine and playful journey that will undoubtedly delight both young and old.
