Jacquemart-André Museum

Built by architect Henri Parent, the majesty of this former private mansion belonging to Edouard André and Nélie Jacquemart, is definitely worthy of a visit from any lover of art passing through France's capital. The museum, now taken over by the Institut de France, and located at 158 boulevard Haussmann, is home to a number of permanent collections originally gathered together by these two admired of 19th century collectors. Visitors to the museum can admire works by the likes of Canaletto, Boucher and Fragonard, as well as Rembrandt and Botticelli.
