The Defense
The Defense is the leading European business district with its 2,500 companies and 180,000 employees spread across 71 towers. Built in the 1960s, the district is easily identifiable by its tall buildings. It also houses the Four Times shopping center. It covers 160 hectares and is divided into four major sectors (Arche Nord, Arche Sud, Esplanade Nord, and Esplanade Sud).
In Paris, the site is visible from the Place de l'Étoile at the Arc de Triomphe.
