Most shops and banks are closed for national holidays.

Museums

Museums are generally open from 10am to 6pm, but most museums offer later closing hours until 9pm or 10pm. The museum closures are on Mondays or Tuesdays. However, some monuments are open 365 days a year, and the main ones can be visited until midnight.

It should be noted that admission is free on the first Sundays of each month.

Department stores and shops

Department stores are usually open from 9:30am to 8pm, and until 9:30pm on Thursdays. Shops are open from 9:30am to 7pm, and sometimes closed during lunchtime.

Shops and department stores are closed on Sundays, except for certain neighborhoods (Le Marais, Beaubourg...). Please also note that some shops are closed on Mondays.

Banks

Banks are generally open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during weekdays and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.

Post Offices

Post offices are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Friday and until 12 p.m. on Saturday.

The Post Office of the Louvre (52 rue du Louvre, 75001 Paris) is open 24/7.
