Qualitativ sehr guter Audioguide
Trop long en 2019!
Sinon parfait pour le coupe fil...
Suivis de la prestation Vaux la commission
Merci
Editorial Review

The Catacombs of Paris, this fascinating underground labyrinth, are much more than just an ossuary; they reflect the tumultuous history of the French capital. Amid shadows and light, these galleries, which stretch for miles, offer a unique glimpse into the past—a forgotten heritage treasure that many visitors overlook while wandering the streets of the city.
The creation of the Catacombs dates back to the 18th century, when Parisian cemeteries became overcrowded. For sanitary reasons, the authorities decided to transfer the remains of the deceased to former quarries. This pragmatic act transformed into a spectacular site that now attracts millions of curious visitors. Walking through these tunnels, one can feel an atmosphere that is both respectful and mysterious. The walls adorned with skulls and tibias tell stories of lives once lived, giving visitors a thrill of emotion.
However, the Catacombs are not solely defined by their funerary nature. They also symbolize the resilience of Paris in the face of adversity. Over the centuries, these galleries have served as refuge, meeting places, and strategic spaces during times of turmoil. Every corner and every inscription left by visitors bears witness to this rich history.
Visiting the Catacombs is an introspective journey through time. It serves as a poignant reminder of our mortality, while also inviting us to celebrate the ephemeral beauty of life. Ultimately, this enigmatic place reveals an unknown side of Paris—a true living heritage that deserves to be preserved and highlighted. Whether you are a history enthusiast, a culture lover, or simply curious, the Catacombs of Paris offer an unforgettable experience that leaves no one indifferent.
