Visitor Route
Auguste Rodin was much more than a sculptor. The creator of The Thinker was also passionate about painting and photography, and a great collector. That is why you will be surprised to pass by 25,000 objects or documents during your visit to the Rodin Museum. But before going through the doors, take the time to appreciate the beautiful architecture of the Hôtel Biron. Once inside, lose yourself among the museum’s pathways to better understand how the artist drew his inspiration. Among the many rooms, one is dedicated to Camille Claudel. Some contain works by Renoir, Claude Monet and Van Gogh.
It is in the fabulous flower-filled and verdant grounds of this private mansion that Rodin’s major works await visitors. In The Thinker, Rodin managed to convey powerful emotions, something very difficult to achieve in sculpture. The sculpture garden, consisting of a flower bed and a rose garden, covers 3 hectares. Two themed trails have been created there to make the visit more enjoyable, the Garden of Springs and the Garden of Orpheus. The Rodin Museum is easily accessible by metro, RER and Vélib’. Buy your tickets and set off to discover an extraordinary artist during a visit you will not soon forget.

Customer Reviews
