At Jenny's - New Year 2027
4.5/5 -
1/4
At Jenny's, over time, it has asserted its personality as an Alsatian gourmet embassy. Its decor includes superb marquetry by Charles Spindler and sculptures by Herni. But it is primarily its Alsatian cuisine, with foie gras from Burger, Hurst charcuterie, Alsace wines, and exceptional locally-produced sauerkraut that earns it its reputation. The generous seafood platter is also highly recommended. So, for New Year's Eve, celebrate with a delightful special menu!

What to expect
Over time, Chez Jenny would assert its personality. This Alsatian gourmet embassy is adorned with exquisite marquetry by Charles Spindler and sculptures by Herni. But it is mainly its Alsatian cuisine that has earned its reputation and still attracts all lovers of foie gras from Burger, Hurst charcuterie, Alsace wines, and above all, exceptional homemade sauerkraut. The same success can be noted for its particularly generous and commendable seafood platter. So, for New Year's Eve, let's celebrate with a delightful menu of the occasion!History of Restaurant Chez Jenny
Established in 1932, the Chez Jenny brasserie has always managed to recreate the atmosphere of Alsace's winstubs. Oysters, presskopf, cervelas, iconic sauerkraut and draft beers, along with its cheerful and exotic ambiance, are well worth a visit.
In 1930, Robert Jenny operated a kiosk where he sold sauerkraut, sausages, and beer. Recognizing the Parisians' fondness for quality Alsatian products, this native of Strasbourg sought to establish himself in the capital. Not far from Place de la République, he set up shop at 39 Boulevard du Temple, which had previously been home to a Russian restaurant, then a Belgian restaurant, and finally the venue of the former Bal Victor.

This was a nice dinner for New Year's…
This was a nice dinner for New Year's Eve at Chez Jenny. We had a couple of mix-ups with food orders -- one wrong entree and one wrong dessert -- but they were quickly corrected, and all of the food was good. There was a little confusion when we were finished. Since we'd pre-paid, I imagined we could leave when we were finished with dessert, but no one came back to the table to let us know for sure or thank us for attending. But the staff was nice and accommodating, the food was delivered fairly quickly, and the meal was good. We would eat there again.
