An Exceptional Green Zone
18 hectares of greenery at the gates of Paris
Nestled in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the Jardin d'Acclimatation is composed of 1800 trees representing both endemic French species and more exotic species, such as California sequoias and Himalayan cedars. With its meadows, a river with cherry tree-lined banks, and woods, enjoy a picturesque setting for strolling, chatting, relaxing, and above all, taking your time! Need even more serenity? For a true wellness break, the Korean Garden invites you to meditate. Lastly, for children, the vegetable garden introduces them to the life cycle of vegetables.
The animals of the Jardin d'Acclimatation
In its early days in the 19th century, the Jardin d'Acclimatation aimed to introduce exotic species to France. Visitors could once admire giraffes, ostriches, and cheetahs. Nowadays, these animals have been replaced by more common species. You can now visit the educational farm animals. Rabbits, goats, sheep, and chickens live in a small hamlet with thatched roofs. Exoticism still awaits you at the large aviary. Meet 150 birds from the 5 continents! Plus, you can participate in feeding the lorikeets, those colorful little parrots. Come and experience a memorable day at the Jardin d'Acclimatation!
