Visit of the 11 Conti Museum
There is, of course, the Louvre with its famous pyramid, the Musée d'Orsay, the Petit Palais, and the Grand Palais, the Cité des Sciences, the Musée de l'Armée, and the Rodin Museum. However, Paris is full of less popular galleries and cultural centers that are worth a visit for various reasons. Without a doubt, the 11 Conti Museum is one of them. Inaugurated in 2017, it traces the history of the last active factory in the capital: the Monnaie de Paris. In this iconic place, which impresses at first glance with its sumptuous neoclassical facade, the currency has been struck for over two centuries. It is here that 150 artisans put their expertise and passion for their craft at the service of their art to create jewelry and medals, including the prestigious insignia of the Order of the Legion of Honor. The 11 Conti Museum is a fantastic sensory journey where workshop work cleverly intertwines with temporary and permanent exhibitions. Educational videos, augmented reality, unique collections: the 11 Conti Museum invites visitors to become actors in their own visit in a playful and original way that appeals to all audiences, including children.
